I disagree with your opening sentence, but have to ask that if you believe that the machines should be metal, then why are you showing a picture of an all-nylon/plastic Vendstar? ;)
Good point BrondoFox. I just changed the picture to match the article. Actually this was another vendor that wrote the article and is linked to his website. But, that said I do agree that the vending machines with metal mechanisms tend to be better quality. Now that is not to say that plastic cannot be used.
I would like to know exactly why you disagree with the recommendation to use metal?
