Most people in vending, especially in bulk candy vending will tell you to locate vending machines by yourself.
It makes you more familiar with you locations, the owners and the general environment you are placing your machine in. It also instills a sense of accomplishment snagging a vending machine location. You can immediately place your machine that should be sitting in the back seat of your car all ready to be located in it's new home.

I think a locator is good ONLY if that's your only option. I agree if it is between a room full of vending machines unplaced and getting them out there with a locator, a locator would be better. A person should really consider getting scammed as a possibilty OR getting a host of low quality accounts.
