Buying an Existing Vending Business

Sometimes it may be worth looking at buying an existing bulk candy vending route from an established vendor.

Many bulk candy vending machines have owners that retire or move to a different state. They may list their vending route on other vending websites or forums. Some may list them on CraigsList or the News paper. Most are just wanting to get out of the business with some cash for retirement or to eventually setup a new vending route in their newer location.

This presents a great opportunity for you if you can negotiate the route at a nice price. This saves you lots of time and gets you bulk candy vending machines that have a record or history of doing well.

Normally you will look at their annual profit amount and take 70% of that figure. Now this would be the amount you would offer them. It is just a ball park number and if the machines are in really great locations and they have excellent record to show you and prove how well they do than you may want to pay a premium.

Buying an existing bulk candy vending route saves you so much of the difficulty of assembling machines, getting locations, moving machines and just all the other work that comes with this business. This is not to say and existing route has no work involved because it does, it is just easier because most of the work has already been done and the route adjusted over time to make a profit. You can just walk in and start maintaining the route.
